Who we are

Bespokey is run by Gary and Rasa, based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Any questions about your information, email enquiries@bespokey.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

• Waitlist: your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We use these to tell you when we launch and to send your 10% welcome code.
• Orders: your name, email, delivery address and, if you give it, your phone number. We use these to send your order and confirmation, and to sort out any problems with it.
• Enquiries: your name, contact details and message, so we can reply.
• Feedback: your rating and comment, and your name, email and what you bought if you give them. We only show your first name and comment on the site if you tick the box to say we can.

We don't sell your details, share them for anyone else's marketing, or send you newsletters you didn't ask for.

Who helps us run the site

A few trusted services do the heavy lifting. Each one only handles what it needs to do its job:

• Square takes card payments. Your card details go straight to Square; we never see or store them.
• Supabase stores our database, on servers in the EU (Paris).
• Netlify hosts the website.
• Zoho Mail runs our email inbox and sends our emails.
• Google Fonts supplies the lettering on the site, and sees your IP address when the page loads.

Some of these companies are based in the US. Where that applies, they use the standard legal safeguards for moving data out of the UK.

How long we keep it

• Order records: 6 years, because HMRC says so.
• Enquiries: 2 years, then deleted.
• Waitlist: until 3 months after launch, or sooner if you ask.
• Feedback: until you ask us to remove it.

Cookies

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The site keeps two small things in your browser:

• your basket, so it's still there if you close the tab, and
• a note used only by us when previewing the site before launch.

When you pay, Square's card form may use its own cookies to check for fraud. These are part of taking payment safely.

All of these are essential to the site working, which is why there's no cookie banner.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Just email enquiries@bespokey.co.uk and we'll reply within a month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
